Easton has released the newest member of the Power Brigade family. The 2012 Speed S4 is BBCOR certified and features one of the lowest MOI’s on the market. It has a very light swing weight, which gives the batter more power in each swing.

Marucci Sports announced on February 17th that the 33 inch version of the Marucci CAT5 BBCOR bat has been decertified by the NCAA. It is expected that the NFHS will follow suit, though no decision has come from the high school governing body as of this posting.

The ruling applies only to the 33 inch version of the CAT5. All other versions are still certified for legal use. Marucci, in a statement released this week, felt the ruling was “uneccessary,” but “accept and understand that the NCAA has the authority to apply the regulations as they see fit.”

Marucci has posted return instructions on their website.
